Civil War .58 Springfield Socket Bayonet With Leather Scabbard

Original socket bayonet & scabbard for the Civil War .58 caliber Springfield rifle. This is the classic style carried during the Civil War. It has a full-length blade with a clear "US” stamp at the base. The socket is in fine shape and still has the original lockring and screw intact. Bayonet measures 21 inches overall with 18 inch blade. This is the 8-rivet pattern scabbard with brass scabbard tip. The bayonet has a brown patina. Excellent display piece for any serious collection. Price $350.00
