Exploded U.S. 10 lb. Hotchkiss shell with nose and base section. A part of the lead sabot is missing but a small part was found nearby. The nose section is filled with lead case shot and can be heard by shaking the nose. Deactivated by drilling through the fuse. Cleaned and treated for rust except the lead sabot part. Dug by early relic hunter Henry Higgins on the Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield (private property), Georgia. Exploded shell makes a great Civil War artillery relic display. Price $195.00 Each
